Which Uses Less Electricity: HVAC Heat Pump or Window Air Conditioner?
My Heat Pump is not cooling the air down, and it appears the compressor may be at fault (which is a costly repair).
I am considering purchasing a small window air conditioner just to cool my room only (which will mostly be at night anyway). I can stand the heat during the day, but I can’t sleep at night if I am all sweaty.
Does a window A/C use a lot less electricity than a heat pump? The one I looked at was about 600 watts.
