Should a cancer patient avoid heating pads and electric massage pads?

I have heard that if you have cancer you can’t use any type of chair massage cushions or electric heating pads for lower back for example. Is that true and why?

Some doctors think healthy people shouldn’t use them either. There are concerns about such close exposure to electromagnetic radiation.

I think that may be overly cautious, but there could be something to it.

Cancer patients? I can’t think of why they should avoid it.
