    The ONLY thing to do is call a qualified licensed electrician. You are talking about a product that was withdrawn from the market some years back due to fire related concerns.

    Sorry,forget it. The wire grid was imbedded in the plaster. There is no way to determin where the break is or repair it. That’s such an old system. Plan on an alternate source of heat. Even if the high voltage thermostat is the only problem, it would be tough to track one down.
