Don`t bother, it won`t last. I tried everything to get mine patched. The only thing that worked for any length of time was when I took it to my local welding shop and they tig welded it. Mine was made of stainless steel, don`t know about yours. They upgraded the units to copper tubing which I have heard is much better, but I got rid of mine by that time.

if you have the plastic type,you can heat up a flat blade screwdriver with torch,and melt the hole closed if its not too big

The simplest way to repair a FAFCO collector is with a repair plug that they make – however if the collector is old, it’s going to be like chasing rust on an old car. If it’s still under warranty you should be able to get a new one.
