Can Someone Help With Home Heating Systems?

In our house now we have baseboard heating (looks like this: http://www.homeadditionplus.com/images/home_pics/Hot_Water_Baseboard_Heating_System_Element.jpg) and we were wondering if there is an alternative system. We found other system for heating but they are just newer baseboard heating systems. What do houses that are built today use instead of baseboard heating system, because I would like baseboard molding all around my room instead of a bulky heating system possibly a cutout in the corner of the room in the the hardwood flooring. I don’t know all I know is that heat rises so I guess we need something from the ground. Thanks in advance for all your help!

The link was cut off and not functional. I can only assume that you have hot water baseboard heating units.
You could switch to under floor heating. Your existing “boiler” would still be doing the heating, but it would heat from just below the flooring rather then around the baseboards.

Here is some info: http://www.infloor.com/warmboard.html

You could install a forced air heating & air conditioning system. That would use small ducts rather then the baseboard units.
