Best Heat Source for New Home? Pellet Stove?
We are building a home in the next 5 months and are looking into cost effecient heating options. The home is only going to be around 1400 sq ft.
I’m leaning towards a pellet stove. It seems like it gives similar heat to a wood stove, but a lot less mess and pain.
Any ideas?
I prefer oil radiant heat, with heated floors there is never any cold spots in the house. The floor is 85 degrees and it isn’t a dry heat like wood or pellets. With a 1400 sq ft house you would probaly only use 600 gallons a year with no mess and heat your hot water also. I will never have any other heat source. Good luck.
