How to make a good wax?

Whenever i make wax at home for hair removal it becomes hard and when I heat it so that it may become soft, it gets so hot that I can’t apply it on my skin. Guide me to make a good wax.

I am using Gigi home wax. very easy to heat up (90 secs in the mircowave), test it on wrist after checking its consistency.

making wax at home is too time consuming and messy.
