Longest power outage in Melbourne?

Okay, so I’ve just had my second night without power in this god awful heat and I’m bordering on seriously harming someone at the power company (no big brother, that wasn’t a serious threat).

It was 35 degrees inside last night. Tried sleeping outside but the mozzies made a meal of me.

One of our dogs already had a trip to the vet being on the verge of collapse.

I wanna know who also is suffering without any power and any hope of staying cool.
Did you temporarily move out of your house and go somewhere else to have aircon?

By the way, yesterday afternoon I successfully cooked an egg on the concrete!
yep, Rocky that’s just what I wanted to hear.
~sigh~

There is no answer. It’s a pathetic situation (the power failures), that should not be happening.

Fill a bathtub with cold water, and dunk yourself in it every few hours, then try to sleep (not IN the tub, get back in bed).

Do you have friends you could stay with? Somewith with a fan at least.

Sleep down the beach like those guys in St Kilda – no mozzies there.

I’d open up my place to you all, but I suspect I’d be overrun. Cross fingers, and tap wood, I’ve got air conditioining here at 23 degrees all day and night. One of the lucky ones.
