What is The Best Electric Heater for a house?

We used a wood stove last year, but this year we would like to use electric (even though it costs more). Is there any electric heaters that not just for supplemental heat. We only need to heat 2 rooms, the rest of the rooms are blocked off, one room is 12 x 12 x 8 and the other is about 10 x 10 x 8. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Holmes tower type “Quartz Tube” electric heater that we use to supplement our living room, which is 33′ x 12′, and has three entry points. There are 4 normal sized windows and 1 large 10′ x 5′ window at one end. We supplement the gas forced air heating system by using this Holmes forced air heater in this room on the colder nights. This heater has low and high settings and a thermostat that has a 60 degree setting on the lowest end up to 80 degrees on the high end. This type would surely be nice for your rooms. If you desire a smaller sized heater for each room, ( but same heat output ), those smaller ceramic forced air Pelonis heaters would work well. They are also thermostatically controlled and would work well as a supplemental heater. Something else you may want to consider. If you have a ceiling fan in either of these rooms, they now have ceiling fans that have a heater built right in. You have the option of using the ceiling fan to “blow” the heated air down towards the floor and keep circulating the warm air that rises towards the ceiling back towards the floor. If floor space is at a premium, this could be the way to go. There are many different types of heaters out there. You should be able to find something that will do the job for your home. Hope this info helps!
