I need to make one for college and I am finding some good information on it but it is a little hard to understand. Could someone help me with just knowing how it works and maybe how I would make a simple one with like a bucket and some other materials. Thank you.

A solar water heater has 4 basic parts:
a thermal collector, tubing, a pump, and a storage reservoir.
