What was the heat sink for? Was it just to focus the lens on? Lets see you do something cool with it now :) Would it be possible to connect a tube to a larger tank of water so that it would draw water in as it boiled off?

Interesting – a copper heatsink would be even more efficient…

Can you tell me who the music is performed by, or perhaps the name of the instrument ?

    Hi,

The name of the song is “LOTUS” It is a free bee in Garage Band on the Mac. It is about 3 minutes long. Thank you for the question.

  5. SHAATALE Says:

the lens too big for a practical solution

  6. sickbuffalo Says:

Surely this depends on what you want to do.

Boiling + mega UV probably kills water bugs even faster

what about toxins from the metal, if one were to use the water to drink. wouldn’t a stone work as a heating element, it might add extra minerals to the water. I was told that some metals stick to the water elements even after evaporation. I dunno maybe someone who is an expert in water distillation would know if this is true.

Yes, rocks would be fine. I am not a fan of Aluminum beverage containers.

I assume that is an aluminum heat sink, there is no fear of this getting into the water.

I thought that sounded familiar. :)

aluminum water……not ideal. Create a double boiler.

I have a question: If you where heating a swimming pool would the temp rise quicker if the water flowed though a semi black pipe with the lends over the top or some kind of channels or just have black pads on the bottom and doing it that way? How long do you recon it would take to heat a 10,000 liter pool from 18c to about 29c? Thanks, would love to hear from you :)

just also wondering do you play with hydrogen? dose hydrogen have a bigger out put of power then solar? is so is it possible to hook up a solar panel to a battery to charge and use power from that to produce hydrogen and then convert the hydrogen to pure renewable power?

Solar power is relatively inefficient, but this is pretty slick to see.

doesnt seem effecient to procude manifesting water… however this is a good relaxer

almost 2010 now, solar energy i getting better , from
only 10 % few years ago to now 60 %… however very expensive

  23. fuunguus Says:

You lose a little energy in the process of making hydrogen.
But hydrogen is a god way to store energy. If you ain’t gonna use the energy too far away from your solar panel, then all you need to do is lay a wire and use the energy right away. I think hydrogen is more for vehicles, as batteries are heavy, doesn’t store much energy, and takes time to charge.
